Circle 67 Two Gents Poster

“How Love can trifle with itself.”

Love tests loyalty when lifelong friends, Valentine and Proteus, both fall in love with Silvia. But when her father, the Duke, determines she should marry the rich, but foolish Thurio, he banishes Valentine, leaving Proteus to woo Silvia for himself. The stage is now set for a tale that involves high jinx, betrayal, a motley group of outlaws, a rope ladder, many letters and of course the hope of redemption.

Written sometime around 1590, The Two Gentlemen of Verona is considered to be Shakespeare's first play for the stage and makes its Circle 67 debut on our summer tour.
