Circle 67 are proud to present a shortened version of one of William Shakespeare’s greatest plays, King Lear

An ageing Lear plans to divide his realm between his three daughters, but blinded by flattery he makes a devastating mistake resulting in a broken family and a fractured kingdom. This fast-paced adaptation focuses on the core themes of power, betrayal, loyalty and love, while depicting the central character’s descent into madness.

Join us in your favourite castle, meadow or pub garden for an hour and a bit of entertainment. Expect powerful performances, dark humour, intrigue and treachery.

We provide basic seating and don't charge for admission; instead we’ll pass our hats round at the end. If you enjoy the show, please give generously as this helps to subsidise some of our indoor stage productions.

We are touring from the 15th to 20th July to some great local venues -

Geldeston: The Locks Inn, Tue 15 July, 7.15pm
Bungay Castle Bailey, Wed 16 July, 7.15pm
(in St Mary's Church if raining)
Laxfield: The King’s Head, Thur 17 July, 7.15pm
Bramfield: The Queen's Head, Fri 18 July, 7.15pm
Walberswick: St Andrew's Church, Sat 19 July, 1.30pm
Sibton: The White Horse, Sat 19 July, 7.15pm
Westhall: The Racehorse, Sun 20 July, 2.00pm

Please note: Tickets are NOT required at Bungay Castle this year.

As our name suggests, Circle 67 was formed in 1967 to bring high-quality theatre to the Blyth Valley area. With your support, we’ll keep going! We always welcome new members; so if you are interested in joining us, or simply want details of forthcoming productions, please contact us.

NB: Contains some scenes of violence and torture.
