Conflict PosterConflict, "a play for voices" is the story of Richard Clark, a Minsmere coastguard who lived in one of the cottages that are now the National Trust tea rooms at Dunwich Heath. His refusal to be conscripted into the Crimean war due to his strict religious beliefs forms the basis of this story.

Conflict has been adapted by Chris Colins from a rediscovered play written by Hope Lee, a descendant of Richard Clark.

Last autumn a small group of actors from Circle 67 performed Conflict as a reading in a radio style (with sound effects) at the Coastguard Cottages to a small audience which included the family of Richard Clark.

NOW, FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY... to bring Richard's story to a wider audience, Circle 67 will be performing a rehearsed reading of Conflict at The Cut in Halesworth on Friday 21st March at 7.30pm.

All proceeds of this event will be going to The Cut, so please come along if you can and help us to raise as much as possible for our fantastic local arts centre.

Tickets are priced at just £6 and are available from The Cut Box Office.
