Following on from our great successes in France in 2013 and 2016 we are planning our next French adventure. We are hoping to take a production of The Merry Wives of Windsor to the Dordogne area of South-west France with performances planned for the weekend 2 - 4 August (the week immediately following our usual local tour 23 - 28 July). Merry Wives is very funny - Shakespeare's purest farce - and is his only comedy with no dark side. Nobody dies (a bit of a contrast to last year's Macbeth)! It should be great fun.

The trip will offer those participating the chance to perform in some stunning locations while enjoying a holiday! Chris & Marie Collins have very kindly offered us the use of their converted barn, which sleeps 8 and has unlimited camping space in the grounds, as a base (more information here). Alternatively there is a holiday village close by offering a range of different accommodation. Circle 67 will not be subsidising the trip so participants will be expected to pay their own travel, food and drink costs.

The planning and commitment for this production are obviously much greater than normal, hence the advance notice for those of you who may be interested in joining us for this exciting venture. We will be holding a reading on Friday 7 December at 7.30pm in Bramfield Village Hall (although rehearsals won’t start until May) to give us plenty of time to cast the play and for participants to make travel arrangements. If you would like any more information please come along to the reading or alternatively contact us
